I have registered for my first duathalon. It's will take place in October and I'm so excited and nervous. Any advice for a first timer? (5k and 13.1 mile bike)
Usually dua is run-bike-run. If you only run-bike then run fast but don’t burn out cos you have to give it all in the bike. Train a lot in the bike, is the longest part, therefore where you can make the difference. If you can buy clip on pedals that would be great, you pedal a lot faster with them. Last but not least, if drafting is allowed, learn how to draft, how to paceline and how to avoid drafters if they are not being collaborative with you. Good luck!!!
